Weekly Randoms

  • Pops (my dad) gets here tonight! Looking forward to a productive few days and putting lots of lines through my to-do list.

  • My number one beauty product right now is this little gem by Maybelline. I'm basically never well rested and almost always have dark circles. This sucker is the best thing I've used in for-ev-er...and the cheapest. Love it.
Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Light Concealer .2-oz.

  • Is it okay to wine whine about ridiculous things (total first world problems) if you know, in fact, that it is ridiculous? I can't decide, so I'm keeping my mouth shut, but man am I annoyed today over the stupidest stuff.

  • My mom is officially headed our way right at 39 weeks and staying for 2+ to help out...so this baby needs to stay put for 6 more weeks. After that point she is welcome to come immediately. That's only 42 days. Wowza.

  • Grace's new favorite phrase is, "Mama, what's that?" I've gotten to explain more in the last 72 hours than I have in her whole life. Some of the things she asks about she totally knows the answer to and asks anyways. She's also been using please even more than usual ("Mama, you hold this please?") and I love it.
Park date this weekend
  • Confession: I've had a basket of D's laundry that I told him I would put away since the day he deployed. (I was trying to help him get ready and not stress.) Well, wouldn't you know it, that basket is still sitting on the floor of our closet, waiting to be taken care of...3+ months later. Oops.

  • I bought a Living Social deal for a month of unlimited Boot Camp classes at a pretty sweet training facility nearby. It expires at the end of May, so Operation: Fit Mom of 2 commences shortly after C baby gets here. I can't wait to feel my body hurt so good from getting some hard workouts in.

  • Did anyone watch New Girl this week? I die. Already looking forward to next Tuesday night.

  • Confession 2: I just cleaned the filters in our vacuum for the first time ever. I know D has done it before, but can I just say- ICK. No wonder things never felt clean.

  • Lastly: Sneak peek at my latest project...SO excited for this one. :)

Big baby

Happy hump day!

Hanging out, waiting for the Dr. like a tool.

This morning I had my 33 week check up. I was a little off after the holidays (generally our hospital makes appointments for 28 and 32 weeks), but after today I'm back on track. Next visit will be at 36, 38, 39...etc. Seriously getting home stretch status.

Nothing too exciting to report, but little lady is measuring 34 weeks and is officially head down. I was happy to find out she was measuring slightly ahead because all I've heard this pregnancy is that I look small. I don't necessarily feel big, but I think that since I'm tall I carry more length wise and don't get an insane bump. I mean it's definately large and in charge, but I can see why people comment on it not being huge.

Yesterday I had a really weird experience where one of my eyes got blurry and I felt a migraine coming on. A quick rest and some diet coke delivered with lunch, care of a friend, literally brought me back to semi-normal. It was the first time this pregnancy I felt honestly nervous that it could be time to go in, or something could be wrong. I really don't need anything but smooth sailing for the next 4-5 weeks. It also has me back on the go-train again, and needing to get things done.

One thing I've been meaning to share and am definately wrapping up after this week, is a binder of information that I will have at the house for a friend who will care for Grace while I am in the hospital. Right now it looks like this:

It contains different pages with the following information:
  • Important Phone Numbers
  • House Information
  • Dog Care
  • Grace
    • School information
    • Schedule
    • Hygeine information (i.e. bath time routine, teeth brushing, where we keep diapers, wipes, etc)
    • Meal preferences
That's what I have up to this point and am just finalizing everything. I will also include some cash (for food, gas, or anything that comes up). Anything else you all can think of or have found helpful?

OCD much? Yes, yes I am. Because at this point I'm more concerned about Grace functioning while I'm gone then the actual process of labor itself. I'll be okay, and I know she will be too, but having peace of mind about it all will make me feel at ease and hopefully help things run smoothly.

Alright, that's it for today. Work is getting busyyyy and the UPS guy just pulled up. :)

32 Weeks

January 23 - January 29

Another week down! This was a productive one too...bassinet ordered, changing table/low dresser gift from Nana is on it's way, and D even sent us our first package of newborn sized diapers. It's fun to start to see all of the pieces come together and things getting more real. Unlike the first time around, I feel relatively calm about it all and know what needs to be done and when. So far we're right on track.

Survey says...

How far along?:
32 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: +1 for a total of 24.5. Not bad! With G I was right under 30 and packing on the lbs like I was prepping to go into hibernation.

Maternity clothes?: Yes, pants for sure, workout stuff is all regular and shirts are a mix.

Sleep: Waking up a lot more often to reposition. My hip will start to throb if I am on one side for too long. Still, not terrible. Feeling rested.

Best moment of the week: Sad to say it, but hands down my best moment was Sunday morning when Grace slept in until 9am. That has happened NEVER in the past 2 years and it was amazing to wake up well rested, have coffee, clean up a bit, get myself up and at 'em before she was raring to go. And even better? She was in an awesome mood ALL day. The kid needs more mornings like that (and so do I!).

Movement: Still frequent, but not as crazy lately. Little girl is probably getting used to less room in there.

Food Cravings: Still cereal, yogurt and granola, banana nut muffins that I made the other day...I could basically eat breakfast for every meal...anddd some days I do. :)

Gender: Girl

Belly Button: Same flattie.

Stretchmarks?: None yet.

What I miss: I miss D being here to help out and get excited with us. Obviously we knew going into this that deployment was a possibility and I definitely don't regret our timing with it all, I just know he really wishes he was more involved too. (Hence the sending of diapers, etc. Cute.)

What I am looking forward to: Visitors. The next few weeks are going to fly. My dad is in town this coming weekend and 3 of my high school girlfriends are headed here the next. By the time everything dies down I'll be almost 35 weeks and on the home stretch!

Weekly Wisdom: Just trying to make the last few weeks I have with Grace as an only child count. Trying to lay off the phone/internet while she is awake and spend quality time together. Harder than it sounds when homegirl just wants to watch the same episode of Mickey Mouse 3 times in a row. Zzzzz...

Milestones: Not sure what the baby milestones are this week, but barely attempted potty training with Grace and also have started encouraging her transition to her big girl room. Both unsuccessful. Going to give the potty another go in a few weeks when I have a 3 day weekend and more consecutive days to work with her.

Grace's space: We attempted to try out our big girl bed, but G literally went into the other room and tried to climb in her crib. Part of me thinks its silly for me to be pushing her to get in the other room when she has literally never tried to climb out of her crib and it is safer. Also the baby will be in our room for the first 3 months like Grace was...so really, I have another 5 or so months (ehh, maybe less), to get her moved. It would be nice to finish setting up the nursery though. Suggestions?

What's in a name?

We finally did it. Baby "C" officially has a name, and so far it is sticking. Generally, on both D and my side of the family, your first name is original and your middle comes from another family member. For instance, Grace Evelyn is named after D's sweet grandmother Evelyn. Done and done.

When it came to C, we knew we liked her first name since back when we were pregnant with Grace. It was on our list of contenders and I had honestly wondered if we should have used it then...just in case this next baby was a boy and it went unused. Lucky for us, that wasn't the case and it was an easy decision shortly after we found out this next baby would be a girl.

As far as her middle name...we hit a roadblock. It wasn't that we didn't have any family members that we'd love her to be named after, that isn't the case at all. It was finding something that "fit" with the first name we knew that we loved. So after months of deliberation and emails back and forth with lists of names we came to an agreement. We would pick something WE loved and go off of the tradional course of family names. It seems fitting really, that with this second baby we are more confident in our own choices and don't feel compelled to follow any sort of plan. We got this.

So, I'm excited to announce that our second daughter will be named:

Charlotte "Charlie" Olivia

We can't wait to meet you, Charlie girl!

Nemo

I don't know how this started, but fish are called Nemo (pronouced "Memo"), although we have never seen the movie with Grace, and she is on a mission to find them.

I caught her looking in the shower on Sunday...

What a weirdo.

31 Weeks

January 16 - January 22

Happy Tuesday that feels like a Monday, but is wayyy better because it isn't! I love long weekends. Ours was especially great as it was spent with my mom and grandparents in Florida. Grace was attached to her great-grandaddy's hip like a really cute, little stalker and she had a blast checking out turtles, seeing the water, and trying to "find nemo" all weekend. :)

__________________________________________________________________________

Survey says...

How far along?:
31 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Check this- up....0. Color me shocked. Another week at +23.5 total. I did not hold back this weekend, but have been trying to make healthy choices lately and not throw in the towel the last several weeks of this pregnancy like I did with Grace. I had great runs all last week and took Friday-Monday off for active rest while on our mini vacay. Paid off!

Maternity clothes?: Yes, but my new favorite pants are actually non-maternity J.Crew pajama bottoms. They are comfy, long enough for my 5'8'' ish body, and don't make me look like I've completely given up when lounging around the casa. Full disclosure, I've been putting on pjs at like 6:30 when Grace gets hers on. Sorry I'm not sorry. Find similar ones here.

Sleep: Still waking up throughout the night. Having a little more trouble getting back to sleep, but I still feel good most days.

Best moment of the week: Just an all around solid weekend.

Movement: For sure. Especially because I had more caffiene than usual this weekend. Baby liked.

Food Cravings: Cereal with milk. Breakfast and post dinner snack just about daily.

Gender: Girl

Belly Button: Same old. Flat with the top poking out a bit. I don't think it's going to do much changing between now and D-day.

Stretchmarks?: No belly stretchies yet. Still old hip and thigh marks from pre-Grace.

What I miss: Nada.

What I am looking forward to: Settling back into our routine this week and keeping busy. We have things going on pretty much every day this week and a nice little to-do list going for the weekend.

Weekly Wisdom: 5P's...how does that go? Prior Preparation Prevents Poor Performance? I don't know. Anyways, I find that I am most relaxed when I'm staying on task, checking off lists, and have things done way ahead of time. We're getting there.

Milestones: Just feeling good and trying to prolong whatever energy I have for the next several weeks! First nervous feeling about having to actually mother 2 children...

Grace's space: Wish us luck as we attempt our first real go at potty training this weekend. G asked to use the big potty while we were out of town and did pretty well sitting up there on her own. Since this is the only weekend in the next several that we don't have guests or anything going on, we are going to get some big girl panties (terrible word), and see how it goes. No pressure. If she's not into it, I'm not going to push, but we talked it up big over the past few days and she really seems to want to try...if not only for the promise of M & M rewards. :)

Randoms

  • I'm pretty sure I'm being slowly strangled to death by my sports bra, but having to fight my way out of it to change seems pretty time consuming.

  • I got a really bad shellac job done today and my nails look blotchy. They offered to re-do them, but I'm annoyed to have to find another 30 minutes to have that done before we leave. I also am annoyed at myself for complaining about my nails. Seriously, Heather?!

  • New favorite recipe alert: Vegan Creamy Tomato Soup that can be made in a blender! It is too easy not to make and you end up with an entire blender full. I used it as part of lunch all week:
Ingredients:
1 clove Garlic (peeled)
1 Shallot (peeled)
2 – 28 oz cans Peeled Whole Tomatoes
1 cup Milk
1 tablespoon fresh Thyme (or 1 tsp dried)
1 tablespoon Celery Seed
2 tablespoons of EV Olive Oil (plus additional for finishing, optional)
Salt and Pepper (to taste)

Instructions:
1. Place all the ingredients in a blender
2. Blend until smooth
3. Heat up and serve

  • Belly support band review- it's not uncomfortable and when worn tight enough (I had to have a friend help get me in...) it really does relieve some back pressure and felt fine during a couple of my runs this week. I got a medium and think it will work better as by bump gets larger.

  • Baby got a new carseat this week care of D! Our old Graco looks like...well, honestly, it looks bad enough that I don't even think I'm going to end up donating it. Daddy swooped in and C is going to be stylin' in her new ride. He even picked it out.
Chicco Keyfit 30 Infant Car Seat and Base
  • Note to my military friends: Ask your husband for favors or tell him about things you "need" while they are deployed. His willingness to contribute is off the charts...and has me questioning what else I should bring up. Kidding...except not really. I might "need" a massage...

  • This poor baby has the hiccups SO often. Let's just say I can confirm she is head down because I can feel them in my pelvis. It's lower than with Grace and I have a feeling I'm in for it in the next few weeks when she drops. Fun times.
  •

Thats it for now! Heading to Florida in the morning and have a ton that I have been procrastinating on that needs to get done before we leave. Hope you all have great weekends and I'll see you Tuesday with a 31 Week post and a weekend update!

More videos of my kid

Caught G in a crazy bathtime mood and attempted to get a good video to send to D. The song itself is not her best effort...haha, ADD much?...but it's safe to say that the ending was worth getting on film and I'm sure he plays it on repeat. I do!

30 Weeks

January 9 - January 15
Week 30 is down, so tomorrow we head into Week 31 with hopefully only 9 more to go, tops. This is both exciting and scary for me. I am definitely not in a rush, as I still have quite a few things I'd like done before this little lady makes her debut, but thinking that there is a possibility of seeing D in only a couple more months is such a motivator to get this show on the road. I think we also may be close on a name, so that's fun too!

__________________________________________________________________________

Survey says...

How far along?:
 30 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Up 1.5 for a total of +23.5. With G I was up +27.5, so I'm sort of catching up, which I'm not wild about. Just focusing on staying in the 30's for total gain.

Maternity clothes?: Yes, though this week's surprise heat sort of put a spin on things. 80 in January?! This pregnant lady is comfy in the 50's and 60's right now.

Sleep: Attack of pregnancy insomnia this week. I've woken up between 2 and 4 several times this week. I've been able to go back to sleep, but honestly G's been sleeping poorly too (random 5:30 am and 4am wake-ups), so that hasn't translated well for both of us.

Best moment of the week: Got a "going home" outfit for our little boo.

Movement: Yup. In addition to her normal movement (which is still lots), the poor girl gets the hiccups 3-5 times daily. No joke.

Food Cravings: Diet coke with a ton of lemon slices. Needed with the lack of sleep.

Gender: Girl

Belly Button: Poking out. I don't think you'd call it an outtie though.

Stretchmarks?: Same old, nothing yet. Really hoping I can bounce back from baby 2 quickly before it starts getting even hotter here this summer.

What I miss: My hips and thighs look large, which is nothing new, but they are hard for me to keep toned while not pregnant, so while pregnant? Not cute.

What I am looking forward to: Girly weekend in Florida with my mom and G.

Weekly Wisdom: I'm slowly starting to remember that you don't need as much sleep to function as you think you do. We've been blessed with a great sleeper and I'm hoping this one follows in her footsteps.

Milestones: Down to single digit weeks as of Wednesday!

Grace's space: Same old. We included baby in our prayers last night (which we say wayyy too infrequently) and she was excited. Also excited about praying to keep daddy safe at work...but then requested he come home. Cutie.

Randoms

It's been awhile since I've posted much other than my weekly bumpdates, which I know can get boring. I just haven't felt like writing much...not that anything is wrong, or that there aren't always a million and one things going on. It's just gotten much more enjoyable to curl up in bed early and relax these days then write. Also? Blogger has decided to remove the Browse button when I try to go and upload pictures, and I'm not even up for fighting my computer right now.

Here are some randoms to hold you over till I get my act together again...

  • We are expecting an unseasonably warm weekend with temps at almost 80. I am basically planning on being outside for most of those 48 hours.

  • The girls' rooms are painted and we're getting Grace's new room set up and ready for transition. We have been reading bedtime stories in there each night and are thinking about trying naptime out this weekend. Pray for us...ha.

  • I'm still running about 4 days a week and do a 3 mile loop. I'm feeling great, but starting to wonder how much longer my body is going to hold up. My goal is 34 weeks and then scaling down from there.

  • My last Amazon order (using X-mas giftcards- score) consisted of the following:
    • 50 count Green Mountain Breakfast Blend Decaf K-Cups
    • Toddler bed rail for twin bed
    • Bio Oil (trying to attack my stomach with more than just lotion)
    • Belly support band
    • Biore Face Wash
How hot is this?! Oww oww!
  • The above order makes me a little depressed. I'll report back on how the Bio Oil and support band work. I'm hoping I get a few more weeks of running out of it, although right now I'm not feeling much pressure or bouncing.

  • I'm packing up G and I next Friday and heading to FL to visit my grandparents for a long weekend. Nana is flying in to make the drive with us. I'm excited to mix things up a little and have a girls weekend/last little pre-baby trip with my favorite girls.

  • This pregnancy is making me incredibly OCD. I'll get into more detail next week, but for now, I have more lists than I know what to do with and things scheduled basically up until Week 37. I'm 97% sure I would not be this way if D were here. I'm not worried about the whole birthing the baby aspect of this pregnancy, it's the getting her home and have G taken care of while I'm gone that is giving me headaches.

  • And because I can, here is Grace with "her seat". She almost lost it when we had to check it at the airport. Who knew she was so protective over the same thing she used to hate being strapped in to?

Have a great weekend!

29 Weeks

January 2 - January 8

Woo! So, Week 29 has come and gone and as of tomorrow I will be in the last quarter (maybe less!) of this pregnancy. So crazy how much more relaxed and faster things have gone this time around. I had a Dr appt last Wednesday right at 29 weeks since we were out of town at 28 and everything was measuring right on. Also had my glucose test and haven't heard anything back, so I'm assuming I passed. If my memory is correct (which it very well may not be), I think that wraps up bloodwork for the remainder of this pregnancy and it's just run of the mill appointments from here on out. Next one is scheduled for 33 weeks at the end of the month.
__________________________________________________________________________

Survey says...

How far along?:
29 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Only put on .5 lbs this week, putting me right at +22, and 160 going into week 30. 10 weeks to go and my goal is to gain no more than 10 pounds, putting me around +32 instead of the +46ish (and that's being conservative) that I gained with G.

Maternity clothes?: Yup.

Sleep: So good now that we are back in our own beds. No crazy wake ups and momma got some new sheets. Is it sad that getting into bed is literally one of the best moments of my day?

Best moment of the week: Finding out some positive sounding news about D's possible time home after C is born. Trying not to get overly excited.

Movement: Just yes. Like from my pelvis to up under my ribs.

Food Cravings: Like with G, I've actually craved PB&J sandwiches a couple of times this week. This is always weird for me because I grew up HATING them and literally hadn't had one basically ever until I was pregnant. Other than that, it feels good to be back on a semi-healthy eating schedule after the holiday feeding frenzy.

Gender: Girl

Belly Button: Poking out.

Stretchmarks?: Nah. Just got in some Bio Oil to add to the daily lotion sessions.

What I miss: Being able to run and not feel like I'm wearing a fat suit.

What I am looking forward to: Room painting commences tomorrow! Time to get serious about both girls' spaces and big girl bed transition.

Weekly Wisdom: Weekend naps. Take them. (This is advice to myself.) But seriously, if you want to make it through an entire weekend with a crazy toddler you need to sleep.

Milestones: 10 weeks to go!

Grace's space: G has talked a lot about the baby's room this week, which is great that she understands a transitions is coming...but not so great that she wants to put her in the guest room. ;)

2012 Wrap-Up

Last year I sat down and wrote out some of my goals for the year. Here is how I measured up:
Time Management and Relationships
  • Plan phone dates with friends...encourage visits! Not too shabby!
  • Regular email updates to extended family to include pictures of Grace and what we are up to...because our families are huge and no one ever knows what we are doing with moves, etc. Pretty good. I send YouTube videos pretty regularly, pictures to family, and I'm pretty proud we got a holiday card out again this year too.
  • Mail letters, Thank You's, Gifts on time...stay on top of things! Timeliness is not one of my strengths, but I did alright with this.
  • Health/Wellness
    • Run at least one half marathon...preferably 2 FAIL.
    • Continue to workout 5-6 days a week...mix it up and stay motivated...schedule in time and make it a priority I had ups and downs in this area. Started off very strong earlier this year and through the Summer. Currently, could stand to improve!
    • Explore new class options in the area   This was a great success when I discovered CrossFit in early January 2012 and fell in love.
    • Meet some workout buddies Another success! Met some great friends through Crossfit at Ft. Benning that I still keep in touch with and some new friends here in Savannah that all share a passion for health and fitness. :)
    • Meal plan 5+ days a week A semi-success. I did much better this year, but have not planned as much lately, which given that I'm just cooking for 1.5 right now, sort of makes sense.
    • Try yoga FAIL
  • Family Life
    • Go on at least one date a month (mommy and daddy only) After the move, we actually found a sitter right away and made sure to get in some date time, especially before D left. Needless to say, spending some catch-up time together is a high priority item for 2013 upon his return!
    • Plan at least one NEW family activity a month...get out and see the area! We did okay here, trying out new places at Ft. Benning and Savannah as well, but we do easily fall into the routine of the same favorites (not necessarily a bad thing with a little one). Looking forward to doing more as G has more interest and D gets home.
    • Take Grace to the beach  Done and done multiple times...although not sure how much of a success you can call it when your kid decides she hates sand....
    • Regular pool visits, start teaching her how to swim :) Much room for improvement here. I need to look into swim lessons and plan on a lot of pool time this summer.
    • Find balance between work and home...consider a schedule change Changed my work schedule to 7-3:30, allowing me much more afternoon time with the fam!
    • Keep our home consistantly organized and clean Not too shabby! I've actually gotten a lot better since the deployment began because I know that if I don't do something, there isn't anyone to pick up the slack. Kinda like this organized feeling. :)
    • Survive another move We did.
    • Buy our first home We also did.
    • Make Baby #2 before the end of the year :) We got ambitious here and Baby #2 was "made" mid-summer :)
  • I'm pretty pleased with the progress that I have made individually and that we have made as a family this year. Here's to some new goals (coming soon, promise!) and new accomplishments this year!

    28 Weeks

    December 26 - January 1

Happy New Year!!! I'm hitting 29 weeks tomorrow and feeling great about 2013 and everything that is to come. I've started solidifying some plans for the next few months with possibly one last mini vacay and some visitors making their way here in early February. I love the beginning of a new year and the sense of a fresh start. This year is gearing up to be a big one and I can't wait to tackle it, the good and the challenging.
    __________________________________________________________________________

    Survey says...

    How far along?:
    28 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Up +21.5 as of this morning. Right under 160. Hoping to stay here or lose some water weight this week from the flight and eating like I'm carrying quadruplets. I was right about +25 with G. I feel puffier this week too...and not all in the bellay.

    Maternity clothes?: Yup.

Sleep: Pretty good. Shared a room and sometimes bed with Grace this week, so that was fun/didn't allow for nearly as good of sleep as usual. She was cute though and would wake up in the pack n' play saying, "Mama? I get up too!" (Newsflash: I'm not up yet, child.)

    Best moment of the week:

Movement: Belly shaking all the time. Not sure if this kid sleeps.

Food Cravings: I got nothing. Excited to be back at home as of last night, without as much temptation.

    Gender: Girl

    Belly Button: Poking out.

    Stretchmarks?: Not seeing any.

What I miss: Not much. Already seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

What I am looking forward to: D actually asked me about tackling a pretty big fitness goal together this week, so I am really looking forward to doing that later this year. I was actually surprised that he wanted to do it, given I've asked in the past and he hadn't been very interested. More to come, but let's just say it will allow for lots of mommy-daddy training time and will totally make up for not doing my half marathon at 20 weeks. Guess away. ;) I'm also getting excited about getting some resemblance of my pre-pregnant body back. If this kid is anything like G, she could make her debut in less than 10 weeks. That doesn't seem very long.

Weekly Wisdom: Vacations do the body good...and make it bigger.

Milestones: A week into the 3rd tri and still feeling great!

Grace's space: I really need to dedicate an entire post to Grace right now. She is basically talking in long phrases and some sentences, has added so much vocabulary in the last month or so, and was a ball of personality while we were home in VA. I hardly recognized my shy girl! She really opens up fast when she likes someone and feels comfortable. Plane rides were also probably the highlight of her year. I can't tell you the number of times I heard, "I go on big plane." "Plane up in sky!" She was pumped.

    27 Weeks

    December 19 - 25

A tad belated, but I did make sure to take a weekly picture and step on the scale to document. We had a blast at home and just got back in last night on New Year's Eve, which was a debacle in itself. So glad to be back safe and sound and get 2013 underway. Lots of exciting things in the coming months! Hope you all had a safe and happy holiday as well! Should have 28 Weeks up later today and tomorrow marks the start of Week 29. Let's go 3rd Tri...

    Survey says...

    How far along?:
    27 weeks

Total weight gain/loss: Up +20. Spoiler alert, I made holiday eating a sport and I'm not even sad about it. My goal for this trip was to come home under 160 and stay around the +20 mark until I hit 30 weeks. Guess you'll have to tune in for my next update to see if that happened...

With G I was up 22-23, so I'm definitely catching up. Wah.

Maternity clothes?: We're at about 99%. Love them.

Sleep: Like a baby. Sometimes waking up to reposition or pee, sometimes not. It's been good though.

Best moment of the week: Making it to VA in one piece on the 21st. We had an awesome flight in which Grace fell asleep literally as soon as we finished taking off and stayed that way until we were descending. I can't complain. I guess Christmas is another obvious one here. This year was so much more fun now that G really understands most of what is going on. I'm already looking forward to next year with daddy home, and her being able to be even more involved. Now that she's mastered the art of receiving gifts, I'm looking forward to focusing more on giving to others and the real meaning of Christmas.

Movement: So much. Like more so than with Grace. Sort of nervous I'm going to have a wild child. Aren't second babies supposed to be super relaxed?!

Food Cravings: Nothing really because when I wasn't stuffing myself silly, I was planning my next meal. Definitely have that "always hungry" thing going on and am not far along enough to be getting full easily yet. In fact, I'm hardly ever full. It's a problem.

OMG. Speaking of problems, Panera changed their French Onion soup recipe and the new version is NASTY. I was horrified...and even went to a second location to confirm that there really was a switch. Guess that craving is officially ovahhh like 2012.

    Gender: Girl

Belly Button: Poking out a little.

Stretchmarks?: Saw some old boob stretchies (haha, sorry) probably reappearing from right after I had G. I didn't have any belly marks, but when my milk came in, those babies appeared overnight. Starting to get more serious about staying lotioned up, finally.

What I miss: Missed my baby daddy lots this week.

What I am looking forward to: Getting back home after the holidays and getting a move on 2013.

Weekly Wisdom: Enjoy having help when you can. I SO appreciated having another set or two of hands around and entertainment as well.

Milestones: Still no middle name, but I've started telling people C's name when asked. I'd love to have it set in stone before I write it here, but not sure if I can wait that long. Also, entering the 3rd tri! Holler.

Grace's space: I'm not one of those mom's who is worried about loving my kids equally, but man, I'm starting to worry about having a baby again. I am enamored with Grace's age right now. It is so much fun. We have conversations, she is hilarious, helpful, spunky, and 85% of the time is just pure joy to be around. I hope I can enjoy the newborn phase again and don't wish it away too quickly with C. I guess this doesn't really go into the G's space category of this survey, but it got me thinking. She's doing really well with everything though. Proof:
