- This week we had crown moulding installed and I'm loving it. In the words of D, it is now time to "pump the brakes" on house things until we've completed some smaller tasks first...like, I dunno, hanging curtains?
- Grace has started transitioning into daycare at a Montessori school this week. To say I was worried for her is an understatement, but girlfriend has handled the change beautifully. I went in to pick her up after lunch time yesterday and watched from outside as she ate lunch with her new little friends and acted like she'd been there for weeks.
D took this pic while spying on craft time. Grace is on the left. |
- Don't shun me, but I'm sort of over the Olympics. Between all of the spoilers, it's sort of ruined it for me. I still love me some USA, but c'mon NBC! Side note: I still totally cried watching Missy Franklin win 100 back.
- I am 1000% ready for Fall. I realize it is only August, but I seriously get all warm and fuzzy thinking about cooler weather, pumpkin spice lattes from Starbs...and pumpkin spice cookies that I made wayyy too often last year. Football watching, cute clothes, the smell of outdoors, and the November half marathon I have scheduled. Fun times ahead. :)

These taste like mini pumpkin cakes. I want. |
- I'm in a recipe rut. I need some new ones to try out and get in our rotation. My suggestion for ordering pizza every night this week hasn't been going over well (which makes me crave it even more). Instead I'll be trying Summer Stir-Fry tonight. Looks like an easy win.
- I've started slowly trying to gather ideas for G's "Big Girl" room. There isn't really any rush right now, but I'd like to have it done by Christmas so that when we get back from the holidays, we can work on transitioning her.
- A: What did we do before Pinterest?
- B: This is me trying to comply with "pumping the breaks"...as you can see, I'm off to a great start...
- D goes back to work tomorrow. Thank GOD. Love that man, but it's his time to get out of the house between the hours of 7am-4pm. I only have room for two co-workers in this house and they do a much better job of keeping my toes warm than he does:
xo,

We're having grilled chicken pitas with tzatziki tonight. Super easy, healthy (minus the sour cream in the tzat) and delish.
