Pregnancy Week 33
I'm 8 months pregnant and feel heavvvierrr by the day. Other than the heaviness, I really haven't felt the effects of the 3rd trimester that I've read about. Hopefully those stay away for another few weeks so I can finish up Grace's room and keep going to the gym regularly. I've had a few dreams lately involving labor and delivery. In one my mom was there but D wasn't...he was on his way, but taking his sweet time. (Nice) In another we had an ultrasound to see how big she has gotten and it was the most clear picture of a baby ever. She had strawberry blonde hair and looked exactly like D. Pretty cute, if I do say so myself. :) D's family is made up of blondes, brunettes, and red heads, so we have no clue what we are going to pass along to G. He has blue eyes, I have brown...I am just SO curious to know what she will look like and who she will take after personality wise. (Me- laid back, calm...D- anything but both of those things!) 6.5 weeks till we find out...maybe less depending on what we hear at our appointment Friday!
How far along: 33 weeks, 3 days
Total weight gain: +30...did I mention I weigh more now than D did after finishing Ranger School? Awesome.
Maternity clothes: A mix...it is getting slightly worrisome that some of my maternity tank tops that I literally live in when I'm not trying to dress nicely are getting shorter.
Sleep: Going well! I'm switch from my right to left side on and off through out the night way more than before. I've noticed that my hips are getting a little sore from laying on my side, so that is probably the reason for all of the movement.
Best moment of the week: Ordering the rest of G's room has been done! Literally everything...a rug, curtains, shelves, baskets and cute liners, accessories! Now we just wait to get things in and play with how we want it all set up. I really should have invested in Pottery Barn Kids stock before starting this whole journey...I throw my money at those people.
Movement: Lots of rolls and wiggles. I like to think she's a snuggler and just trying to get cozy in there. I haven't even been doing movement counts because I can get to 10 in like 3 minutes when she is being most active.
Food cravings: Obsessed with apple slices and peanut butter and tomato slices with mozzerella...yum. Eating my apple/pb treat now!
Gender: Little lady
Belly button: Completely flat with the top poking out. Very attractive.
Stretchmarks?: None yet, but I'm already researching laser treatments for spider veins. They are icky looking and ALL over the place. :(
What I miss: I don't really miss anything aside from the occasional glass of wine or coffee. I kind of love being pregnant...95% of the time I have no complaints.
What I'm looking forward to: My appointment on Friday! I loveee appointments. Even though I will only be just about 34 weeks, they are treating this as a 36 week appointment to get to the bottom of this whole due date mess.
Weekly wisdom: Don't feel bad about changing doctors if you don't feel confident in who you are seeing. I have had more and more people tell me their stories about why they switched things up and you really can't feel bad about putting yourself and baby in better hands.
Milestones: In 3 days I could know the day we will be induced if G hasn't decided to make her arrival on her own. Exciting stuff...I can't wait to meet her.
33 week pics are on their way...I'll add them later tonight!
xo,
H

I didn't have any stretch marks, but am covered in spider veins now. Tell me if you find something that will fix that!
ReplyDeleteThe discomfort starts at week 37...at least for me it did.
Hang in there!
My hips hurt at night too! Can't wait to see your bedding. Ours is from Pottery Barn, too. Haven't put the crib up yet to set it all up though! :)
