Photog FAIL

I've had a really hard time getting a good picture of the little Miss lately. I used to be able to say "cheese!" in a goofy voice and get her to give me a huge grin...now, I'm lucky if she even looks my way when I have the camera out.

Case and point:

D and I thought it would be funny to put a bow from a gift on her head. Grace did not mind at all, but obviously would rather play with a laundry basket than interact with her parents. Are we already that embarrassing? Answer: Probably.

Still ignoring.

Haha! Here I have her trapped in her highchair, forced to look at me. Suddenly my camera decides to take a series of really terrible pictures. The lighting in our house is terribleeeee.

That gave me the idea to go outside. So yesterday, while Grace was still home from school waiting for the 24 hour daycare ban to lift from being sent home the day before (don't get me started), we took a couple pics in the backyard. Yeah. It was way too bright. I know the best time of day to take pics is before the sun is fully up and early evening, while it is setting. We didn't take advantage of that advice...

Mid-clap. Squinting eyes. Probably getting sunburned. Mom FAIL.

Fresh outta the bath with wet hair...running away from me before I can get a diaper on her or towel dry her luscious locks. :)

So that's where we are on the picture taking lately. Pretty pathetic. BUT- I have weekend plans to try a few things, so hang around and I might have some things worth sharing next week! We are in full-on party planning mode and things have gotten a lot more fun. I have some things that I'm trying to pull together this weekend and I'll have a post on how everything is coming along here soon.
