POP!

Sorry for being so M.I.A. the past couple of days! I know I mentioned that we had a pretty busy week coming up in my last post, and that's really what we've been up to since I last wrote.

By last night I was just plain exhausted. See, I do this thing to myself ALL the time where I push myself to go, go, go and then finally my body hits a wall and lets me know it's time to stop and slow down, usually by either sending me into a tear filled breakdown or making me act like a 7 year old with an attitude problem. Luckily, I've been having this happen for awhile and am finally starting to recognize the warning signs so I can try to correct the issue before someone (usually D) gets the wrath of my exhaustion.

By yesterday afternoon at work, I could feel it coming on, so I sent D a quick email saying that I knew we should be at the Date Night that his company was holding, but if I didn't get to a gym to sweat it out and then sleep I might lose it. I think he quickly got the message because his reply was so sweet that I started to tear up just reading it. (I was that in need of a nap...ugh.) It ended up being a wonderful afternoon- I got to go to the gym and came home to take the most long, hot, relaxing shower ever before dinner. I even took a pre-shower pic so you guys can see how bump-a-licious we are getting over here. Seriously, it came from nowhere over night!

Ignore the toothpaste drips on the mirror...surprisingly this is D's bathroom!

After dinner I settled in on the couch and someone even did the dishes and took the dog on a walk all by themselves so I could rest. Ahhh, it's the little things that make me happy. :) I was in bed by 8pm- yes, you read that right- and got an amazing night of sleep.

Ohhh and here's the best part...

At about 4:30 am I woke up for my 3rd nightly pee run and settled back into bed. Baby M was going nuts...to the point where I could feel it from the outside. (Have I mentioned that I can feel kicks and movement from the outside now? Cause I can!) I knew D was semi-awake because we had just had to forcefully move Molly from in between our heads and send her back to the end of the bed. I grabbed his hand, put it on the spot where all the action was taking place and no more than a minute later heard a sleepy laugh. Success! He got to feel his first kick. :)

Today is a brand new day and I feel SO much better. I guess I have to just realize that I don't have as much energy to go non-stop for as long as I usually can. Just for fun, here is bad picture of today's outfit. Some of you may recognize this little number as the wool dress I wore with black tights to a holiday party a couple years ago. Can you tell I'm really stretching to find clothes in my closet that I can incorporate into my new pregnant life? Today I have it on with black stretch pants and flats. Probably inappropriate to wear in most office settings, but here you guys would have a field day if I showed you some of the "work attire" that I see walk through the door!

I love the belly! :) Hope every one's weeks are wrapping up nicely...I'm so excited for some time off here soon!

xo,

H
