"I got 99 problems, but a rug ain't one."
This wins the most hilarious email subject line from yesterday. Thanks for your input, everyone! You will be pleased to know that the rug saga is over...for now...and I'll reveal what I decided after we move.
Ohhh, the suspense. ;)
Not much to chat about today. Just trying to make it to 3:30 so I can get my butt to CrossFit. Only 3 more workouts left with my little group and it's all sorts of sad. Not sure what I'm going to do when we move. I know that I will join a gym because I need my spin and bootcamp classes...as well as an excuse to get out of the house. When you work at home all day, getting out, even for a workout is necessary. As for CrossFit workouts, I think I'm going to attempt to do things on my own, in the garage, and hitting up the local high school for their bleachers and track. I've learned so much in past 6 months and plan on continuing with WODs that I don't need a ton of equipment to do.
So today's question of the day (or QOD? ha...) is: Anyone have a favorite xfit workout that can be done at home or in a garage? Any tips on what equipment I need to add to our garage "gym" area? A box, for example...
xo,

GIRL ... I have a whole Word document of traveling WODs that we can do without equipment ;)
ReplyDeleteWe do all (and I mean all) our Crossfit stuff at home. I'm sure my husband would love to go to a gym, but he's savvy and bought stuff used to get the basics that we need and since I'm not working, we don't have the dollars anyway to support that. It's actually pretty awesome because now that Sam is 2.5yrs, he literally tries to imitate everything Dad does when he's working out. Sam can hold onto the rings in our carport, hold on to the pull up bar, we ask him to "do his squats" and then push ups or burpees..it's seriously hilarious! One thing I love about doing this from home is that Sam see's in our everyday life (when I'm not 35 wks preggers:) that working out is part of our routine and what keeps us happy and healthy...win/win for all of us!
ReplyDeleteYou can totally do WOD's from home. My hubby even homemade our wall balls :) You could even have your little lady do a short WOD of her own once she starts seeing what you're doing. I understand that that time alone is necessary, but if you want to keep doing some Crossfit, it's a way to get that in one or two days a week besides the alone time you have with spin and running or whatever.
