Tomorrow we'll be getting back on the road and heading to Virginia for the next week. D, Grace, the two pups, and myself, will all pile in the Santa Fe and make the 12 hour trek together. Pray for us. ;)
As per the norm, we still have a ton to get done between now and when we head out the door, but for the most part the house is unpacked and clean, Christmas shopping is done, and things are getting prepped to be re-packed for our trip.
We'll be in Northern Virginia to visit my fam first and then make our way down to the Virginia Beach area to see D's parents for the second part of our vacay. We have a couple tentative plans with friends, but for the most part, this trip is going to be all about family. I haven't seen some of my relatives since last Christmas, so I am pretty excited. Grace is much more mobile and interactive now...I'm looking forward to see how she reacts to everyone. My Nanny and Granddaddy (my mom's parents) host a big Christmas day celebration every year and it is sort of family reunion-esqe. There's always tons of food, kids running around, and just plain fun. I'll try to document the scene!
I gotta finish work and packing, so I'm keeping things sort today. Hope everyone is having a fab week!
