FAIR-ly exciting stuff!

I love Fridays. Probably too much. The most annoying thing about my love for this day of the week is that I always have to have something special planned to make it feel like a true Friday night. Maybe it is because in college/post-college we would always have some sort of event to go to or something fun to do?

I dunno, but the moral of the story is, I get weirdly depressed if nothing exciting is going on. D loves this. ;)

The original plan for tonight was to go out for Mexican (see, I don't need anything over the top to celebrate the end of the week), but something even better came along.

A fair!!!

This is going to be an amazing people watching, fair-food eating opportunity...and with free tickets to watch bull riding, we couldn't pass it up. The camera will most definitely be in tow and I'll attempt to capture our evening the best that I can. We can't leave Louisiana with out going to at least one fair, right?!

Other than that excitement, the rest of our weekend will be fairly low key. The usual business...groceries, working out, family walks, Sunday football. Maybe even Mexican tomorrow to make up for tonight? (I can only hope...yummmo)

A few random things from this week:

I bought this Almond Butter and am obsessed with it. No clue why it is displaying horizontally. Just trust me that it is awesome and try some if you see it on your grocery store's shelves. The fact that it is sold in my grocery store means it most def is probably in yours. I was shocked to find it.

This is Essie, Power Clutch. I wanted a gray polish and meant to get something much lighter, but this accidently came home with me. At first I hated it because I wanted a soft gray and I know D HATES dark, different nail colors, so I was ready to hear an earful about how gothic and creepy I looked. Low and behold? He loves it. Weird. Maybe it's because it is so close to Halloween and I look spooky?! ;) Haha. It's a really pretty steel gray with some almost subtle navy undertones. It's grown on me...but I'm still on the hunt for the perfect light gray.

Random way to conclude this post, but hope everyone has a nice, relaxing 3 day weekend! Check ya next week.

xo,
H

  1. So here's my question for you: I, too use Essy nail polish, and have no problems with how it appears on my toes. I LOVE how it looks on my finger nails, but it chips easily. Do you have a trick so you're not repainting every other day, or am I just a hot mess?
