VA Trip Photos

Here are some very late and very stolen (thanks, Dara!) pictures from Grace and my trip to VA in early May. We headed to Virginia on a Sunday and were picked up at the airport by Nana and Pops (my mom and dad)! I had a 5 day work week in Maryland, so I stayed with some girlfriends who live near the metro for a few days and had a quick little flashback to my single, just out of college life. Although I thoroughly enjoyed the ability to catch up on some reading, really focus on work, partake in some spontaneous afternoon shopping, and indulge in late evening dinners where the wine flowed like formula around these parts, I did miss my little girl and D back home. We met up with my dad and G for dinner one evening during the week, but it still felt good to be back with her on Friday after my work training ended.

Here are some of the ladies and I who went out for Cinco de Mayo...we're missing quite a few people in this pic. Miss you girls like crazy!

After a long week of work (and play!) I headed back to my mom's house to reunite with my little lady and some of the girls came to say hi and head to the outlets for a shopping trip with us...

I know she looks concerned in the 2 pictures below...but I love these two because I think she looks kinda like me :) Maybe it's the large brown eyes?

I think she looks even bigger than all of these pictures now and definitely has some more hair! It's crazy how quickly she changes. We flew home on Sunday May 8th...yes, Mother's Day, and I vowed to never fly alone with a baby again. ;) She was fine...I just looked like I got hit by a truck by the time we were back in good 'ol LA from the stress of traveling with an 8 month old who had a crying fit on a shuttle in the Atlanta airport (that I had taken the wrong way).

Home is so, so sweet. You never thought you'd hear me say that about Louisiana, now did you!?

P.S. Our next planned trip home is tentatively scheduled for the last weekend in September/first of October and birthday festivities are in the works!
