I am never one to jump on board a new trend. I wait until it's been around so long that it is just accepted as normal before I get into it. I didn't even own a pair of skinny jeans until last Winter...and I'm still not sure how they make me feel some days. When colored denim came out, I thought it was ridiculous, until I saw them in mini version and died at the cuteness.
Everything is better in mini version, though. Then I went into Gap on my lunch break one day and literally every employee was rocking them and looked awesome. They were all different sizes too...which gave me hope, because I have what I like to refer to as "tree trunk legs". There is really nothing skinny about them.
I ended up getting green. Not sure why I went for that color...it feels a little leprechaun-ish right now though. I also got a top another employee was wearing, but it looks see through and like a potato sack on me, so it's going back.

I'm still undecided.
What do you all think?
Do you own colored denim?
Is this look going to be out of style before I muster up the confidence to wear them outside of the house?
Are you so relieved that I didn't share another "craft" with you?!
This has been another thought provoking post, provided by yours truly. You're welcome.
xo,

im all about the colored jeans! and i looooove the green! they look good on you!
ReplyDeleteI love them! I have colored skinny jeans that are a tealish blue... so they definitely aren't as daring considering they could almost pass as blue jeans. I am sure by the time I can fit back into them (probably 2 years from now) color jeans will be like so over.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're having a hard time getting on this trend as well - I think they're cute, but I'm not sure I could pull them off. You look fabulous, however, and I may be spending my AT giftcard that I've been holding on to this afternoon. Keep rockin' them sisterfriend.
ReplyDeleteI think they look really cute on you! I own them in mustard yellow and LOVE them!!
ReplyDeleteLOVE them! I was nervous at first too however.... got 2 pair a few weeks ago at LOFT (blue and green!)
ReplyDeleteColored jeans, colored jeans-love, love these but you know I'm a little out there with my fashion sense. I think they look fantastic on you and clearly I love the color as it's my favorite. Keep them, period:)
ReplyDeletethe green looks fantastic on you! i have a pair of mustard yellow/deep tan skinnies as well as a burnt red. definitely out of my comfort zone, but i love the look with boots or a pair of pumps! now grace needs a pair to match her momma!
ReplyDeleteI love it with the navy polka dots and flats. =)
