Is it just me or was this week unusually long? Between the anticipation of yesterday and then the actual day itself, I am beyond spent. I can't wait to just kick back and relax this weekend, starting tonight by going out to dinner in Natchitoches (correctly pronounced Nak-a-dish, or incorrectly pronounced "Nacho-toe-cheese" if you are my mom and I) with some friends. A night of no cooking? Yes, please!
Thank you to everyone who made me feel a lot better about everything Thursday. I am already feeling a little less anxious and in a better mood. I've been a pretty big optimist about everything pregnancy wise so far and that little "surprise" threw me for a big loop. Again, thank you for the calls and supportive texts, and also, thank you to my hubby for putting up with my raging mood swings and getting me skittles. Because who doesn't feel better when they are eating skittles? No one, that's who. :)
So onto a happy, exciting topic: Baby Names!
Lately I've had a lot of people ask me what we are thinking when it comes to names. Are we going to share our choices with everyone? Are we going to keep them a surprise? Well, after some thought we've decided that we plan on trying to come up with two names for both a boy and girl. We will have our "top choice" and a back-up, just in case we get to the hospital and decide that name 1 doesn't seem to fit. When we find out whether we are having a boy or girl, we will share our the top choice with everyone!
I really do love talking about names to people, in fact, anyone that has asked me already knows what we are thinking. I can't keep secrets! I just know how hard it has been for just D and I to agree on names and if someone other than the two of us has something negative to say about what we do agree on, I might explode. As of now, we have a number one boy name and several back-ups to narrow down. When it comes to a girl, we have quite a few first names we are tossing around and trying to match up with middle names, so we have a ways to go there. D is determined to not give his daughter a "hooker" name...which seems to come up with all of my suggestions! (And I swear, I'm not suggesting crazy things like Candi or Honey...haha) I guess you could say we are VERY open to suggestions. If you hear a cute little name and want to pass it along to me, step right up! In fact, I encourage it. We could use all the help we can get. :)
