Random Ramblings

I think work is making me fat. I'm never as hungry at home as I am when sitting behind a computer screen for 8 hours a day. I don't think D would qualify this as an excuse to start maternity leave early. Bah-humbug.

This week is moving right along. I've hit the gym every day so far after work and even made dinner on Monday that lasted us through last night. I did a Shepard's Pie recipe that I found from another blogger's site and it turned out just ok. I don't think I've ever had it before, so I don't really have much to compare it to. It kind of turned out like a thick beef stew covered in cheese and mashed potatoes. Anyone know if this is normal? D wasn't a huge fan and I was less impressed than I thought I'd be. Oh well. I tried something new so go me. I'm not going to post a recipe that was just mediocre, so better luck next time I guess.

Baby M is having major playtime today. I'm pretty excited to feel a lot of him or her again, because it's been a few days and hasn't been this often or strong in awhile. What are you doing in there, baby? Lately I've been on Team Pink and I don't really have a good reason why other than an extreme urge to purchase bows in every color and little outfits with ruffles on the butt. Don't worry, I'd be ecstatic to find out that I need to invest in some baby boy Polo's and mini Sperry's (yes, they make them...). I love the thought of having a little boy first to protect his future female siblings. We will find out in about 3 weeks and go from there. :)

Does anyone ever worry about their potential children liking their significant other more than them? For some reason I have lately- isn't that crazy? I mean, what is not to love about me, you know?! ;) But seriously, the dog clearly has a way greater love for D than me, and it drives me nuts. She snuggles him, kisses him whenever she gets the chance, and will literally try to push me out of bed so that she has him all to herself. It's ridiculous. I wish I could post some pictures of D on here to prove it to you, because I've caught her on camera several times. I'm sure I'm golden for at least the first 6 months to a year...I'll literally be a walking food supply, so that's gotta earn me some points. But what about after that?

I'm ready to leave work, but I still have a couple hours left, so I'm off to stalk some blogs and pretend to be busy for a little while longer. Apologies for the boring ramblefest. I have a better topic planned for tomorrow. :)

xo,
H
