Miss me?

Don't worry, I haven't given up on blogging...we just got back last night from our Florida trip so I'm back in action! For one, I owe you all my Week 17 update. I'll try to post that by this evening.

We had a great weekend visiting with my grandparents and mom, eating way too much amazing seafood, and relaxing in the warm weather. It was a well deserved break from reality, if I do say so myself. :)

Guess what else happened this weekend?

I felt the baby move! Actually, I felt it for the first time Thursday evening as we were starting our drive. Maybe the sugar filled treats that I "needed" to stay awake helped out with that one? It was the coolest feeling, and I could definitely tell the difference from other random feelings going on in that area. I've always read that it feels like flutters or little bubbles, but honestly, it kind of felt like a hamster was rolling around in there. Beautiful description, I know. Since Thursday I've felt it every so often, some days more, some days less. It sounds like it won't get consistent for another several weeks and D won't be able to feel it for awhile either, so for now it's just a special little thing between Baby M and me. :)

I've also relaxed a lot more not finding out the gender until June 4th. I follow a ton of baby blogs and one that I stumbled upon last week was a new mom who found out at 18 weeks that she was having a girl. She went out and bought girly everything, had baby showers, etc. and then went in for a 3D ultrasound at about 27 weeks where she was told it was a boy! Ahh! Worst nightmare. So for now I'm happy to wait a few extra weeks just to make sure things are as obvious as can be! One month to the day...are you guys as curious as I am?!

Check back later today for another post. :)

xo,
H

P.S. Those of you that have gotten background check forms in the mail- they are for my current job. Please make me look good. ;)
